Last week a young tech entrepreneur (let’s call him The Misguided Hacker) posted his plan to help a homeless man by teaching him to code. He probably expected a few people’s commendation and support, maybe some advice. Instead he struck a fiber-optic nerve which resulted in a large backlash from the blogosphere. At a glance it seems as though he was unjustly derided; there’s no indication he had anything but good intentions.
