To enter a race players need to own a horse and pay some fees in $DERBY. The horses are available on their marketplace according to their grades and age. Horses in the game currently range from B- to SS-, the lower the grade of a horse, the lower the entry fees and purse sizes it runs for. Players have to study the track preferences of their horses and enter the race to maximise the yields. 80% of the rewards are distributed to the top 5 winners from the collected entry fees, while 20% goes to racetrack owners and stakers of $CROWN.
$DERBY is a stable in-game currency of Photo Finish, where 80 $DERBY = $1. It is used to enter any race and the winning amount is also received in $DERBY. When users deposit $USDC they receive $DERBY in a 1:80 ratio.
$CROWN is the native currency of the protocol, players can stake them on different tracks and be partial owners of the tracks. For every race on the tracks, 20% of the total fees are distributed to the owners. $CROWN has the total supply(fixed) of 250,000,000, of which 22% are reserved for the ecosystem. This is used to incentivize the players to take part in the races.
