Respect is essential for living and for any relationship to last long. Respect is derived from respite, which means “to look again,” and it is an English word. Stanford Encyclopedia 2014 defines respect as a responsive relation expressed in various ways, including attention, deference, acknowledgment, valuing, and behavior . We must respect our teachers. They are the persons after our parents who are not jealous of our success and make us able to live as a good human. They teach us to live and deal with this world . Our Prophet (P.B.U.H) was also a teacher . He teaches us how to live as a human and teaches the whole of humanity about Allah SWT. The teacher is the person who teaches us about our moral values, and he is the one who can make a failure into success. Teaching is difficult, especially nowadays; students do not respect their teachers. Instead, they disrespect them and even misbehave when punished for their mistakes and wrongdoings.

Housework is a breeze. Cooking is a pleasant diversion. Putting up a retaining wall is a lark. But teaching is like climbing a mountain.
Fawn M. Brodie.

There must be necessary to build a good relationship between teachers and students so that we can learn from them, and that’s very important to build a healthy, trustworthy and respectful relationship between teachers and students. As Timothy Shriver And Jennifer Buffet say:

The core of education is the relationship between the teacher and the student, the extent to which that relationship nurtures the child’s longing to matter in the world and the hope of the teacher to promote and fulfill that desire.

How To Show Respect?

There are different ways to show respect towards teachers. We must show respect because the students who respect their teacher are always more successful than those who don’t.

1.Pay attention to the class following the rules.
2.Do your assigned work on time.
3.Enthusiastically participates in every activity.
4.Prepare your lessons well.
5.Do not misbehave in class with anyone.
6.Show common courtesy and good manners towards your instructor or teacher.
7.don’t sleep in class and work hard.

Positive Teacher-Student Relationship:

There must be a positive relationship between teachers and students. A Rita Pierson noted in her famous TED Talk:
Kids are not going to learn from someone they don’t like.”

A teacher must make the class environment productive and comfortable, and a teacher must talk to students and do interactive class activities. The teacher must not lower the self-esteem of the students and encourage them .this makes a positive relationship with the students, makes them confident, and lets them learn new things.

My Self Being A Teacher:

If I were a teacher, I’d be approachable, listen to them, and clear their doubts by myself. I would make my class make students learn quickly. I will encourage and guide them to know the loss and what to do afterward. I will teach them communication skills because this is the first step to starting anything even living. And I would love it if I could make a group of students who will be the best asset to society in the future.
