thegrid.io adventures (part 4)
The frustration of not understanding what’s going wrong… and not being able to figure out why it is happening.

I’m still unsure what is it that I’m doing wrong…

For example, whatever changes I tried to apply to the site will give me error messages. It all began from my frustration on why does it seem to give me the same layout after layout. Without any clear indication how I can affect the output.

After spending the entire morning, arranging publishing and unpublishing pages and figuring out which content to place within the navigation bar… A refresh causes all the changes to just disappear. Nothing. Nada. No idea.

Only to keep getting the very same layout as the original. Almost 2 weeks ago. No clear changes. No clear difference except a tiny line here or a little box there etc. But everything pretty much looks the same.
And, oh gawd. From 3 links… to 5 links… and now… whatever number of links will appear as the top chunk of your website. What is this design? seriously? It is more important to fill the entire page with links to visitors?

As you can imagine… almost 50 redesigns originally and the current redesigns… everything looks almost the same… I have no idea how else I can change the layout etc to suit my content and more importantly, what I want to convey to visitors.
So… How now? After spending almost USD$1000. Yes you saw that right. Almost spending close to USD$1000… this is what I end up getting.
