How Political Correctness Failed Liberalism

This is an unusually perceptive essay. I have expressed similar thoughts repeatedly on my own blog,, which I hope Umair Haque will take a look at. I would add the tendency of the New Left to villily any leftists who have actually changed the world for the better on grounds of racism, sexism, or homophobia, to include Thomas Jefferson, Franklin Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy, and, currently, Woodrow Wilson. Yes, Wilson was a disgraceful racist even by the standards of his own time, but he was also a highly significant figure in the development of liberalism. This in fact is the topic of my last blog post.
