I thought for a minute, thinking about how I show love. Then, it hit me: I pay attention and remember what people like to eat and buy it for them.

When my ex came to visit me at App the first time, I bought him food that I KNEW he would eat, that he ALREADY ate everyday, because I wanted to be nice and helpful and make sure he had plenty to eat.

Guess what? It’s almost three years later, and I STILL have the food he refused to eat — it was a breakfast shake.

This year, when my boyfriend came to visit me over the summer, I bought him waffles because I remembered he had said how much he preferred them to pancakes. Although they had few ingredients and were multi-grain — because I try to eat as healthy as possible — he still ate what I made him. And I loved every second of it.
