Tomorrow is a huge day in the Gunter household!!
But first… let’s hit rewind
People say your first year of marriage is one of the hardest ones. We have been married for almost 9 months and it has had its happy & scary moments. If any of you know my personality, you know I’m a planner & love for each plan to fall perfectly in place. Well God rocked my planning personality with a big wake up. 4 weeks ago I had to have surgery to remove half of my thyroid.

This answered questions as to why I had gained weight & was having issues with nerve pains on only my right side for the past 6 months. My surgeon confirmed the mass on my thyroid was sitting on my nerve and vocal cord. Prior to surgery I barely had a voice and sounded TERRIBLE. There was post surgery issues thank you anesthesia & pain unfortunately. The hospital staff was amazing though. The surgeon did have us prepared for the WORST case scenario so we were all on edge. A week and a half later we got my pathology report back and praise the Lord everything tested benign. I’ve never been more relieved in my life.
Thanks to the oil blend AromaEase, it helped aid in calming my digestive system or that butterfly feeling tummy while recovering. I diffused it daily an even put a drop of it on the towel of my ice pack. The smell became very soothing to me while healing.

Why is tomorrow a big day for us??
Tomorrow I head back to work and my work family. I’d be lying to say I wasn’t nervous. Who wouldn’t be? 4 weeks is a long time for your daily activities to be disrupted. It’s also a big day for Steve and our future. He accepted a new job with a different garbage company here where we live. His hours will be more manageable and we will actually have more time together. He won’t be working 70 hours a week & will get to have some down time. It’s so exciting and I know he is nervous and anxious too. It will all be ok. I know tonight we will diffuse some peace and calming to help us get a good nights sleep. (it is our go to nervous system support oil)

I’m thankful 13 months ago I got my premium starter kit and started to learn more and more about essential oils. They have truly benefited our health. I firmly believe there is a great combination for modern medicine and holistic in my personal life. There have been some great oils that have helped support healthy immune systems in our house and for that I am forever thankful. I’m thankful for our families and their help through these past couple months. It was scary. Recovery is going slower than planned but I’m alive and doing well. Thank you Lord for that.

Thanks to my sisters for always refilling the diffusers or getting me an oil I was requesting… or pausing to take a nap with me. These two are pretty amazing. We can’t forget our nephews. They are like my own. Apolinar was the best caretaker overnight while Steve got rest for work. (He loved he got to stay up super late to make sure we stayed on top of my medicines) isn’t he darling? And dorian for his giggles and snuggles. My plans may have been thrown out the window but I am truly lucky and loved. My husband is an amazing leader in our marriage & I thank God continually for walking side by side us in this storm.

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Here is to HOPE and to our FUTURE.
