Quick ride to Tukadon
Tukadon is actually the name of a cafe and not the place which is located in San Mateo, a 20min drive of less than 10km from the city center of Marikina.
Tukadon was one of the first, if not the first, cafe to open in the area for bikers who frequently go up there due to the steep incline which is a good challenge for them. Upon seeing the cafe’s success, neighbors started opening their own shop to cater to the steady increase of customers.
Currently, there are 3 cafe’s in the area namely Tukadon, Amazing Grace and Mountain View with the last 2 offering better views of the skyline. It’s better to go at sundown or at night for a nicer view of Marikina coupled with the cold air.
Plenty of parking available on the streets for all the cafe’s. However, it’s a bit of a challenge because of the steep incline. Make sure your bike or motorbike is secure and stable otherwise it might fall down. The ratio of bikes and motorbikes was a bit equal with several cars joining in on the party. If you’re looking for a quick ride with a good view and a place to hang out for bit, this place is definitely worth visiting.
