Alas, like everything that sounds too good to be true, the job indeed comes with a catch. I’ve changed a few light builb in my time, but none quite like this.
Actually, this is not a regular light bulb. Not everyone can do it either. This is a special job for high-altitude operations, replacing light bulbs for signal towers over 600 metres high.This type of signal tower is different from ordinary tall towers. In terms of appearance it is built from a metal bracket — the higher the height, the thinner the bracket — and there are no protective measures, [climbers] relying solely on a rope to protect them.
