Everything old is new again. Louis Sullivan, a noted architect — he designed skyscrapers — back in the 1930s, once said “form ever follows function”. The 1930s was a big era for industrial design and Sullivan was a contemporary of Dreyfus, Geddes and Loewy who created the iconic designs of the 20th century. We’re in a new great era of industrial design, but now focused on computer interfaces and implementations, but the old rules are as true as ever.
