Ello Feature Request or How to keep discovering great content
As I start to use Ello on a more consistent basis, a few things are popping up I wish could be different. These little experience elements all do their part to detract from the experience by breaking the experience flow and fluidity that is in layman terms they take you out of a consuming content behavior into a navigation behavior unnecessarily.
The first is how Ello filters posts from users in your “Friends” or “Noise” bucket. By design posts from “Friends” automatically appear in your default Ello stream. However and I am in agreement “Noise” appear in a different stream. The issue I have with that is although I like the separation, folks that are labeled as “Noise” are just folks whose content value is unproven. But by “hiding” it in another feed, users might lose out on great content. What I would love to see would be a way to consume all content in one stream but in a way that maintain that hierarchy.
Enter my Noise digest request…

By embedding in card format a digest of “Noise” users’ posts, I won’t have to switch back to see if I missed anything. And while I may not know from the start the value of folks I’ve labeled as “Noise” by surfacing their posts at given interval in a digest format in my main stream, I can a) more likely discover cool content and b) cull those who just simply are noise
