- Awesome, awesome stuff. Today, I spent my first real time diving into CS193X, and this stuff is super cool. I feel like this web stuff is relatively easy, compared to algorithms and data structures, so I’m breezing through the lectures. I’m trying to really dig deep, looking at all the links provided, and making sure that I understand every foundational concept thoroughly. I really do feel that if I can maintain my progress in this course, I’ll be able to achieve my goal of being able to build websites (i.e. a portfolio for myself, small web apps I want to do) and learning about web development in general. I’m stoked for what’s in store.
- Also, I’m enjoying that this web stuff is a lot less math-y and technical than algorithms. It’s a different aspect of computer science. I think it’s a lot more creative in a different sense, and it is definitely using a different part of my brain. Wooh! I don’t know how to explain it, but learning how to build stuff is just really damn cool.
