So it begins

Woop woop! Here’s to the initiation of my coding blog!

I will be joining Launch Academy’s Ruby on Rails bootcamp in February 2015 to learn how to become a Jr Software Engineer. Slight career change from being a Med Tech with a Bio degree, but I know this is above and beyond the right call. I have an affinity for coding, and with proper training, hope that coding will have an affinity for me in time too =)

I am a 25 year old living in the Boston area. I have a multitude of hobbies like video games, dancing, cosplay design, painting, sculpting, skiing and Magic the Gathering. I like reading/listening to The Economist, and other various podcasts.

The majority of these hobbies are taking a backseat to programming as of late. I think of it as having an optimistic swing in that the rapid valuation of my free time creates a mandatory prioritization of my interests.

I’m not so good at the blogging thing, as I can get nervous discussing myself over long (…or short) periods. However, for the sake of attempted improvement on all aspects of my life, skill sets, social and otherwise, I recognize this as an efficient medium (heh) to hone those less sharp qualities.
