Here is my own toon-based version depicting phases of the Customer Development Life Cycle.
Step 1: Solve the right problem, the right way and validate.
Step 2: Validate business model & business metrics. Prove!
Step 3: Scale! You might seek investors to help multiply customer base.
Step 4: Go big. Proven success can lead to bigger operations and company evaluations.
I have used this to good effect in evangelizing ‘Lean’ principles when it comes to new product initiatives with aspiring entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs, start-ups, colleagues, customers and therefore thought of sharing it. Hope you like it and can use it in your conversations too in someway.
