Urban Air Adventure Park offers a fun-filled environment for energetic individuals and families. However, there may come a time when you need to cancel your membership. While exiting a gym membership can be notoriously difficult, understanding Urban Air’s cancellation policy and procedures can make the process smoother.

Understanding the Commitment: Initial Term and Renewal

Urban Air memberships come with a 12-month initial term. During this period, cancellation is generally not allowed unless you experience specific circumstances (more on that later). After the initial term, your membership automatically renews on a month-to-month basis. This is where the cancellation window opens.

Cancellation After the Initial Term: The Online Method

Once you’ve surpassed the 12-month mark, you can cancel your membership online. Here’s what you’ll need to do:

Important Reminders for Online Cancellation

  • Cancellation Notice: Keep in mind that your cancellation request will only be effective 10 days after Urban Air receives it. This means you might still be charged for the upcoming month’s membership fee if your request falls within close proximity to your billing cycle.
  • No Phone Calls or Emails: Urban Air does not accept cancellation requests over the phone, through email, or by fax. The online portal is the only authorized method for month-to-month cancellations.

Exceptions to the Cancellation Policy: Before the Initial Term Ends

There are limited situations where you might be able to cancel your membership before the 12-month commitment is fulfilled. Urban Air allows cancellation due to:

  • Relocation: If you move more than 25 miles away from the nearest Urban Air location, you can submit a written cancellation request along with proof of your move (change of address documentation).
  • Disability: In the case of a permanent disability that prevents you from using the facilities, you can submit a written cancellation request with documented medical proof.
  • Death: Urban Air offers compassionate cancellation in the event of a member’s death. A death certificate or obituary will be required as verification.

Final Tips for a Smooth Cancellation

  • Review Your Contract: Before initiating cancellation, take a moment to revisit your membership agreement for any specific details or procedures relevant to your situation.
  • Keep Records: Maintain copies of your cancellation request (online or mailed) and any supporting documentation for your records.
  • Check Your Bank Statement: Once you receive confirmation of cancellation, monitor your bank statements for a few billing cycles to ensure automatic debits have ceased.

By following these steps and understanding Urban Air’s cancellation policy, you can successfully end your membership and free yourself from unwanted monthly charges. Now you can focus on new adventures!
