UAE launch new Cyber Security awareness campaign for education sector

A new cybersecurity awareness campaign for education sector has been rolled out in the UAE by Cyber Security Council. This is to reduce cyber threats and risks and promote a culture of cybersecurity among students and professionals.

The council carried out Preventive Shield exercise to enhance the response in the education sector, which included multiple presentations to simulate various cyber attacks.

Dr. Mohammed Hamad Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cyber ​​Security for the UAE Government, said that the “Defensive Shield” exercise in the education sector comes within the framework of strengthening the response of the various vital sectors in the country and protecting it against emergency cyber attacks.

Dr. Al Kuwaiti explained that the training exercises included detection and defense of malware, ransomware, cyber targeting campaigns, malware analysis, reverse engineering, internal threat, and the training it includes on securing networks, information systems and cloud computing.
