Floods caused by monsoon rains have killed about 1,200 people, including more than 400 children, and affected 33 million others since June in Pakistan.

In this on going crisis in Pakistan, UAE once again is at the forefront with its undying humanitarian and brotherly spirit for Pakistan.

Over the past week, under the directives of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and VP Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, the UAE has led relief goods operations in the flood-hit country, with more than 50 humanitarian flights organised by the UAE so far.

Over the last weekend, volunteers in UAE joined an initiative “We Stand Together” to pack 1,200 tons of food, health care and general hygiene items in 30,000 kits for flood-affected families in Pakistan within four hours. The initiative was launched by a coalition of 12 humanitarian organizations.
