Cloud computing is the delivery of computing services including servers, storage, databases, networking, software, analytics and intelligence over the Internet to offer faster innovation, flexible resources and economies of scale. We pay only for the cloud services we use which helps to lower our operating costs and run the infrastructure more efficiently.

Cloud computing is a popular option for people and businesses for a number of reasons including cost savings, increased productivity, speed and efficiency, performance, and security.

· Qwiklabs

Qwiklabs provides temporary credentials to Google Cloud Platform.They consist introductory level to expert level labs which are instructor-led or self-paced.

It has a rich catalog filled with many courses on different topics like machine learning, database management, app development, deployment, and much more;what make’s this all more interesting is the badge feature provided by Qwiklabs which you can earn by completing the labs in a particular field/domain. The badge shows your new skill, and you can add your badge on your LinkedIn Profile too.

Qwiklabs is the platform to complete the labs of the 30 days of Google Cloud. You will first need to create an account on the platform. To start with each lab you will require credits which you would get for free after successfully registering for the program.

· What is 30 Days Of Google Cloud?

Google Cloud in collaboration with Developer Students Club (DSC) provides an opportunity to students to start their journey in the cloud along with hands-on labs on Google Cloud Platform that powers apps like Google Search, Gmail, and YouTube. Along the way, we learn and practice cloud concepts like computing, big data, application developments, and machine learning. As the name suggests the duration of this program is 30 days. It consists of several quests that need to be completed in a stipulated time.

· Program Syllabus

The complete program is divided into two tracks. You can begin with any of the tracks as both of them have introductory labs which will let you know about how GCP works.

Track1: Cloud Engineering Track: It consists of 6 skill represented as badges as shown below:

1. Getting Started: Create & Manage Cloud Resources.

2. Perform Foundational Infrastructure Tasks in Google Cloud.

3. Setup & Configure Cloud Environments in Google Cloud.

4. Deploy & Manage Cloud Environments with Google Cloud.

5. Build & Secure Networks in Google Cloud.

6. Deploy to Kubernetes in Google Cloud.

Track2: Data Science and Machine Learning Track: It consists of 6 skill represented as badges as shown below:

1. Getting Started: Create & Manage Cloud Resources.

2. Perform Foundational Data, ML, and AI Tasks in Google Cloud.

3. Insights from Data with BigQuery.

4. Engineer Data in Google Cloud.

5. Integrate with Machine Learning APIs.

6. Explore Machine Learning Models with Explainable AI

Each of these badges have approximately 5 labs and 1 challenge lab to be completed. Checkpoints are like small tasks or the pathways you take to complete the goal. Each task of the lab is assigned a particular score which would lead the participant towards completion of the lab.You need to score 100% in each lab and the challenge lab in order to claim the skill badge.
