DSC WOW made a positive difference in my developing career. I am looking forward to more DSC events in future as it not only helps me to learn new things but have fun at the same time .The amazing sessions DSC WOW conducts inculcate new skills in me. The organizers really deserve a token of appreciation for making sure that the speaker sessions, events, quizzes and hackathons go smoothly.

Today on day 4 we had three sessions. The first session we had was on “How to manage work-life balance” by Siddhant Agarwal and Nikita Gandhi. I learnt importance of prioritizing our tasks based on urgency and importance. If its working time and we are not in a right frame of mind and our priorities are different for that moment of time then we should refrain ourselves from responding. I learnt to keep on upskilling myself. They shared their experience at GOOGLE. They talked about following our own passion and path and not to copy others. At the end of each working day, we can perform a little self-analysis. Ask ourselves what worked today, what didn’t, what went wrong and how the issue can be fixed. Remember to take time out throughout our day. When fear or self-doubt or anxiety creeps in, we can do some work on our mental health such as meditation or reading a business book. Alternatively, we can spend time with someone who will lift us up and support us.

The second session was on “Building AR Apps on Web/A-Frame” by Ada Rose Cannon. Building VR web apps have never been easier. We can add that power and accessibility of the web to our VR app with A-Frame. It is an excellent choice for building rich 3D experiences on the web. It’s built on top of three.js, advanced 3D JavaScript library that makes working with web apps extremely easy and fun. In my opinion, A-Frame gives you the best balance of adding 3D content to your web application. We learnt about hand held AR and head mounted AR in this session. We were taught about https://aframe.io/ .We used visual studio code to make different frames for our very own DSC WOW. We made a cute dancing cactus which was performing on Ada’s smartphone.

The third session was on “Building AR-VR apps in less than 20 minutes” by Koren. We learnt using echo AR-cloud platform AR/VR/3D apps. It was mesmerizing to see the Apartment using the camera to locate itself in the space! echo AR is a cloud-based 3D, VR, and AR app development platform. EchoAR.xyz’s mission is to make it simple for developers and content creators to build, manage, and deploy applications capable of displaying 3D images. Apps created using EchoAR.xyz’s service are compatible with some of the most popular platforms for AR/VR and 3D content, including Apple and Android phones as well as Google Chrome and Firefox web browsers. I think that the technology EchoAR.xyz is also making an impact in the lives of the next generation of AR/VR innovators.
