To take your argument to the extreme — the niqab was invented to prevent women from dressing “too provocatively” and the blame was placed on women for the indecency of men. That’s the social dynamic that sort of thinking creates. For every time you make excuse for men behaving badly because of their victim, you’re robbing men of the responsibility to be thinking, responsible human beings. Are you saying that men are too stupid to choose to behave like decent human beings?
