Starting a book: Part 1
This is a random series of my attempt at writing a book. This post is a meta-post of my thoughts on me actually writing. Though this feels counter-productive as now instead of actually working on the book, I am working on this. But eh, this looks cool :)
About this series (planned)
It’s tough for me to get my ass to work. So, instead of trying to write a book in a corner of the world, I have decided to just post whatever I write here so that I can hold myself responsible for this already exposed series. I will keep posting whenever I write something, and that basically defines my plan for the book as well. That’s why I have decided to name the book “Making Harshit Work” (maybe I can strike off the first three letters of my name 🤷)
So here is the output of the first writing session. As any good wannabe writer would, I decided to write down the name, and the preface of the book.
Title of the book:
Making h̵a̵r̵shit Work
Preface:
Writing a book has always been a very alluring thought. The respect, the have-achieved feeling, the tag of being an author is something very inescapable.
But how to get yourself to do it? Do what you do best, ramble on for as many pages as you can gather stamina for.
A VERY IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: This is not a self-help book telling you how to change your life and make yourself achieve stuff. This is just an excuse for a timid mediocre boy to put down his thoughts into words, and chapters, and then a book. I don’t expect it to do well or even have any more readers than my current number of WhatsApp groups (around 25 I’m guessing). So please do not pick this book up if you don’t know me personally and I have not given you a guilt trip. I assure you, you are not going to get anything out of it; except for the awesome cover, this book is going to have and something to carry around.
