What is the next Gun Powder?
An idea about what will rule the world in the next few years
Gunpowder
Black powder is the name given to the earliest known chemical explosive. It is used as a blasting powder and a propellant for firearms, rockets, and fireworks. The composition of black powder or gunpowder is not set. In fact, several different compositions have been used throughout history.
Before the use of gunpowder
Before the invention of gunpowder, the war was more or less a profession for experts. You needed a lot of money for your armour and perhaps your horse, and a lot of time for training. With gunpowder, you did not need armour any more because it does not stop a bullet. And at least since about 1700, when muzzle-loading muskets and the bayonet were in use, you could teach ever young farmer boy to handle his musket in two weeks. This lead to bigger armies. Societies got militarized. Serving in the army made the people aware that their nation could not fight wars without them.
How did the British use gunpowder
The British used the gunpowder to fill fused artillery shell until the second half of the 19th century when the first high explosives were put into use. Using the gunpowder, they were able to colonize most of the areas of the world. When gunpowder was used to create personal handguns and rifles, a new type of soldier was created: infantry. The use of gunpowder played a major role in building next-gen weapons. Using those weapons they were able to capture every possible piece of land. Three things contributed to the victory of the British: Discipline, Next-gen weapons and the Experience. The gunpowder was a game-changer at those times.
Gunpowder in today’s world
There are two things in the world which play an equal role as the gunpowder in the older times. The first thing to be taken into account are the ‘smart’ devices that have surrounded us in a large number in a short period of time which include smartphones and smart home devices. Smart homes have started emerging from the past 2–3 years. Isn’t it amazing to control any device with your voice? Of course, it is and everyone loves it.
Another thing to consider here is ‘social media’. Of course, some people might say that it is AI or internet and other stuff. But social media has the largest role among all and is actively contributing to all the fields. Across the globe, 3.3 billion people are connected to each other using social media. Today everything that you wish can be done through it. The business sector has seen major growth.
Next Gunpowder – The Hyperloop

Companies such as the Virgin Hyperloop one and Elon Musk’s Boring Company plan to automate the transportation system within the next few years by bringing the concept of travelling to distant places at very high speeds into reality.
The concept of transportation of passengers in pneumatic tubes is not new. The first patent to transport goods in tubes was taken out in 1799 by George Midhurst.
Five years ago, Elon Musk proposed the design of the Hyperloop one. The Hyperloop Genesis paper conceived of a hyperloop system that would propel passengers along the 350-mile (560 km) route at a speed of 760 mph (1,223.1 km/h). Last year, he implemented the concept in a tunnel in Los Angeles using his Tesla.
Conclusion
In today’s world, social media and smart devices play the role of gunpowder and are known to be the game changers.
