Thank you. This is exactly what I was trying to say. I do believe there is a systematic problem of unequal access and possibly racism that absolutely needs addressing, and that I’m happy to help addressing. I just don’t think the author was even attempting to mention this topic and was instead preoccupied spreading this antagonizing myth of white males being evil bastards who don’t employ anyone but their “own kind” on purpose.
As you said, they’re asking for more minority representation, but without acknowledging this is a hard thing to achieve and is usually unrelated to evil agendas. Moreover, they’re not even trying to be a part of the solution -you’ll find no ideas on how to achieve what they’re asking for, just accusations. Because antagonism is easy, requires no investigation or real effort, but gets a lot of clicks because of the its flammable topic. It’s meant to sound emancipated, but is just malignant. This is my beef with it.
