I am not a teacher so unlike others I can’t give you any advice on how to live a better life however I do read motivational stories or even sometimes write myself which helps me to nurture a go-getter mentality and hopefully helps you as well in some ways.

This is a story of two boys, aged 6 year old and 8 year old who lived in a village. One morning they decided to play football in an area little far from their home . The two boys were very agile and playful but unfortunately, while trying to outpace his friend the elder kid lost his control and fell down in a long deep well which was luckily dry. The kid did not get any major injury. Though to them it seemed to be only a secondary thing. The two were rather nervous thinking about the punishment they would undergo if their parents came to know. However, expecting any help in that area was futile. After sometime they thought, calling people from home was the only option but even that seemed impossible since it would have taken a long time and how could he have left his friend alone in that well. But what could be done now ?
The younger one saw a long rope tied with a bucket. He threw
the rope in and asked his friend to sit in the bucket. With all his might he pulled the rope and managed to pull his friend out of the the well. As he came out, they hugged each other and cried .The profound love was coming through tears .

On the way home they decided to tell the story to their parents. Perhaps, they had no idea of what they had done was unbelievable, however unconscious to that fact they were happy especially the younger one that his friend was safe.
When they reached home they narrated the entire story to their parents. The incident baffled everyone. How is it possible that a child of mere six years old possesses such a mighty strength ?Soon the story caught fire and became the word of mouth in the entire village.People thought that it was just a tale made by the two kids. But what if it was possible, one of the villagers said while addressing a small gathering. That says a lot about kids, hence people decided to talk to the wisest man of the village to demystify the story. The entire village thronged at one place and narrated the entire story to the wise man. The wisest amongst all listened to the story with rapt attention.
It is so natural, the man said with a smile after hearing everything. They are indeed speaking truth and nothing else. Everyone started muttering. How is that possible? One of them asked. The man gently replied, we believe that being a six year old he cannot do that but did he know this? No one told him that his age apparently wouldn’t allow him to do what he did. All he knew that he had to save his friend. That’s the belief. He didn’t know what he was doing was limited to a burly man. The man continued emphatically and said , most often you accept the limitations set by the society and you govern your entire life based on those limitations or you rightly call them your beliefs.
That’s how scared we all are. We are scared to set our own bars.
Never do we sit and think that the beliefs we are running our
lives by could even be false beliefs or unspoken assumptions or some ideas which was instilled in our childhood by our parents, teachers, friends or TV which unfortunately still affect most important decisions of our lives, and not to mention that most beliefs developed unconsciously holds us back to become a person we are meant to become.
Let’s just dedicate a minute and think, are our beliefs helping us to become what we want to or holding us back to mere a regretful life,a mere survival?

I would end it here with an old saying,
“Believe in yourself before you realize one day that you were always your biggest enemy”.
