Sarah, this is excellent. Thank you. Just sent it to a bunch of founders. I was having a conversation yesterday about this topic when it comes to hiring designers/growth marketers. So many founders are looking for the quick fix vs. owning a thesis from top to bottom to drive long-term feedback loops in a way that is specific to the problem they are trying to solve.

Curious about how you think this applies to real world products?

Excellent consumer brands (think of the ones that have been around for 100 years- Tiffany, NYT, Levis, Coca-cola) theoretically have generation long feedback loops that make them very sticky (parents buying for kids), but take much much longer.

Software + Social scales so much faster, but may have less staying power when get outside of the VC window of time.
