Heritage Village is one of the best cultural attractions. This village is located in Abu Dhabi, near the marina mall, which is the second biggest mall in Abu Dhabi after Yas Mall. Also you can views the Abu Dhabi Corniche.
In the village there are many activates such as a re-creation of a Souq, old traditional mosque and a Bedouin encampment which made of palm fronds. Also, there are many workshops where you can watch how they marked thing in the past life. For example, you can see how they making the pots, blowing glass and beating brass and weaving on traditional looms.
The things you can do in the small traditional souk that you can practice some bargaining skills for the souvenirs like hand made soap, silver jewellery and traditional clothing. Also there are some ladies those offering henna for the visitors, which is heritage traditions in the UAE and is considered similar to tattoo.
However, there is other interesting section, which has Abu Dhabi photos from before the oil boom. You can see the amazing change that happen to Abu Dhabi. For example, how it has changed from the desert into a green paradise in a short period time and estimate the return to Sheikh Zayed. There are also several Holy Qurans, jewelry and traditional weapons on display.
There are some arabic restaurants which has uae traditional food like Al Harees (slow-cooked wheat and lamb), Al Machboos(a delicious casserole of lamb or chicken with rice) and Thareed Laham and Margooga.
There is a beautiful stretch of white sand beach that include several traditional dhows.
The Entrance to the Heritage Village it not cost you a lot because it is free. The opening time for this village is Saturday to Thursday from 9am to 5pm also they open on Friday from 3:30 to 9pm.
