With so much happening in the world, the genocide happening in Gaza, the war in the Ukraine, the imprisonment of Julian Assange, the dungeon at Guantanamo where America keeps prisoners of war without trial, how can I spend so much time writing about a robbery that happened 34 years ago?
At age 19 it was one of the first times I encountered real corruption in the hands of people who were supposed to protect us. Specifically, corrupt FBI agent, John Connolly, threatened to kill me. He said I was going to end up dead in the trunk of his car along with the Boston Globe reporter, Steve Kurkjian, who was listening to him.
My parents and I complained to the FBI about John Connolly’s actions. My mother went to a hearing about it. I was studying in France. I regret that I did not push it further at the time. His corruption might have been exposed earlier.
When I recently requested the files about this from the FBI. I received my FBI file with nine deleted pages and numerous redactions. The FBI…
