Not knowing and making the decision anyway!
Oliver Connick

I really enjoyed your post, Oliver. I lost my own mother unexpectedly 3 1/2 years ago. We were leaving to go visit my parents the next day when I got the phone call from my dad. She had a massive stroke then laid in the hospital for nearly 2 weeks as we watched the life slowly drain out of her until the decision was made, based on her expressed wishes in her living will, to pull the plug. To this day it still brings me to tears.
