When I read your essays I am riveted in the moments with you and identifying with all the things you are noticing, mulling over, grappling with. These days my attention flits hither and yon faster than a hummingbird's wings, but your words ground me and allow my attention to settle. I just love what you do with language and I love how you catch what is breath catching and rare in the most ordinary, imperfect, and average patches of life. The way you see the ordinary elevates it, makes it artful. I haven't read your work in a while, but hope I remember to keep doing so because it makes me want to slow my roll so I can notice more and catch the rare and beautiful inside the ordinary moments of my ordinary days.
