I am an educator and believe the inequities we see in our prison systems are mirrored in our school systems. Both institutions are in dire need of a biologically accurate theory of the human brain. Otherwise ethical, equal, and fair treatment means something different and is manifested differently by each authority in a position of power in our schools and prisons.

I believe we actually have more than enough raw data and know-how to fix inequitable and unethical imprisonments. But we are stuck with uneven and inequitable interpretations of our problems solving strategies because we share no conceptual base or common language with which to communicate and interpret these strategies.

I hypothesize if we want fair and equal treatment, we need to supply context specific and biologically accurate guidelines for how to achieve it. I hypothesize that to supply accurate guidelines we need a theory of the human brain that can accurately describe how uniquely each human brain takes in, understands, organizes, and manages information.
