#30DaysOfGratitude: Day 1 (Today was a Good day)

Yep. Today was a good day.
For starters, I am thankful for the unexpectedly pretty view I had at brunch today:

The fast food joint nearest to my place had a second floor, which was hardly ever opened to the public. Seeing that patrons weren’t going to be locked out today, I decided to sit on their open-air balcony and was greeted by these pretty sights.
Best of all, I had the space all for myself. :)
After brunch, I got a tattoo. I’ve been praying and thinking about this for several months (if not a year or so), and I’m very, very happy with how it turned out.

I think, in recounting my experience, a separate blog post is in order. :)
Today, I’m also thankful for the unexpected meet-ups I had with my friends. I normally don’t go out of the house on Sundays, but I ran into many friends whom I haven’t seen in a while. While our interactions were brief, they were fruitful and encouraging. I’m thankful I learned rich insights from them, which were especially apt for my situation.
Lastly, I’m thankful for today’s sermon at church. My home church started a new series on Christmas. I’m thankful that God has a plan for each of us, and I can trust Him. He won’t falter, His Word won’t return to Him empty, and He is completely trustworthy.

All in all, today was a good day. It was a deviation from my usual Sabbath, but different is always good. :)
