Ok, you convinced me to give it a try. I already started learning Go but I’ll put it on hold; you’re not the first one trying to drive me away from Python towards Scala.

How fast do you think can somebody get up and running with Scala? I’m not talking about the average Hello World thing but more complex stuff like creating services, API’s, etc..

Besides, people frowning over a programming language are not people you would want to work with. Mental rigidity quickly mutates to boredom and stagnation.
