Vampire Weekend definitely started the weekend on a good note. Not only did they sell out their first time performing at MSG, they had artist Steve Lacy (from The Internet) as a surprise guest. Performing live for the first time together ‘Sunflower’, a song collaborated on their 4th studio album. According to an article on NME, Koenig and his band members praised Lacy before stepping on stage. Introducing the California native as “an amazing songwriter.” Following the introduction, Lacy joined VW for the first time on stage and played one of his original songs ‘Dark Red’. Vampire Weekend’s set lasted about three hours, playing hits from their past albums and hit singles.
