I recently happened to check out my facebook profile and I couldn't even remember how I know some people. I mean I have to remember what they are like, they are my "friends".

I'm not active on Facebook, I feel like the whole thing is a sham. It's a version of gossip girl, except everyone posts stuff about their own self. Like I honestly don't care what a school acquaintance had for dinner and who did she dine with. And yet, I see people liking check ins. I do not understand why so many people like the fact that a person they haven't spoken to in 7 years went to watch a movie.

I go out with a bunch of friends for dinner and they won't fucking let you touch the damn food, no matter how hungry you are. All because they need to click the perfect picture for Instagram and Snapchat.

People care so much about clicking pictures of their Christmas gifts and posting in online. I do not want to be thanked on facebook, a small hug in person will do just fine.

I've seen people wish their friends and partners on facebook for their birthday. You're telling me you love somebody so much and you can't even be bothered to pick the phone and call? They can add 10 worthless hashtags; but they won't even write 'I love you', They write "ilysfm". So much for love.

I'm not anti-social media. I just think we are replacing it with real communication. We're supposed to talk things out if they bother us, not tweet terribly tiny tales.

I guess what I’m trying to say is,

Don’t lose the trees for the forest.
