I choose Life. The personal art exhibition
The concept of the artwork series “I choose Life” is the preservation and continuation of life at 3 levels: personal, genus (as a mini-society), and planetary.
At the same time, it was research in the context of relationships.
On a personal level — the research of feelings and emotions, relationships with myself, restoration of internal balance and resource state.
On the level of the genus — the research of relations with relatives (close and distant relatives), changes in these relations, ways to maintain ties, and build a new level of relations.
On the planetary level — research relations with the outside world through interaction with nature and contacts with people in different countries who have similar values, interests, and areas of activity.

The artwork series illustrates the strength of the main message “I Choose Life!” There I have put my thoughts about the future a bit before the war in Ukraine and during all these months.
The series consists of 9 works, which are based on the idea of expressing the author’s intention via an image, as an interaction with the universe.
1. “Blue Bird of a Dream”. Completed on 19.12.2021. (The original stayed in Ukraine).
2. “Power of love.” Completed on 19.01.2022. (The original stayed in Ukraine).
3. “Tree of Peace, Happiness and Prosperity”. Completed on 22.02.2022. (The original stayed in Ukraine).
4. “Blessing of the energy centers of the body.” Completed on 30.06.2022.
5. “Origins and sources.” Completed on 22.07.2022.
6. “Prayer for the sanity and wisdom of people, nations, governments.” Completed 11.11.2022.
7. “Shine, merger and prosperity.” Completed on 19.01.2023.
8. “Preservation of the genus, its health and prosperity.” Completed on 04.04.2023.
9. “Creation and Prosperity.” In progress.
Several works were intuitive experiments. They have led to a mixture of drawing techniques, and the use of paper of various sizes, thicknesses, and textures that were not intended for drawing. Unfortunately, these works stayed in Ukraine.

December 2022 — My artwork (3 drawings: #1; #2; #6) were presented at an exhibition “Solidarity art event for Ukrainian Artists in Austria.” Graz, Austria.
October 2022 — #2 — “Power of Love” was presented at the festival The Intercontinental unchanging bridge of courage through the arts. The festival where artists from 5 countries united in sending art messages about Peace and Life on our planet. San Francisco, USA.
Karina Sunlife (Graz, Austria) is a сultural practitioner, multidisciplinary artist, the author of articles in paper and online media, poetry, and 8 books published in 2015–2019.

* Founder of the online project “The Unity of ‘Sun & Life’.”Her drawings and photographs were presented in 2022–2023 at 7 international exhibitions in the USA (San Francisco), Austria (Graz, Vienna), and England (London), which were dedicated to supporting Ukraine and preserving peace.
