there’s a nagging little copy rule that unless there’s a compelling reason, lists are best sorted alphabetically which I suspect is where the UI-UX flow came from.

It is however an important point, however, what is the user experiencing?

(Though I suppose one could argue that they’re really experiencing an interface, regardless of how expansively we elect to describe it.)
