I admire your intent to create a comments section that is cared for and pruned of asshats but I have to ask; Is Youtube Heroes still a goer? Because if it is I fear you’re gonna get a load of previously banned commentators joining YT’s volunteer gang of sheriffs out of spite, in a bid to mass flag your channel and mess your income stream up something fierce.

Unless I’ve read the situation wrong it would appear that YT has created a dynamic where channels that care about moderating their community are now open to blowback from those they have policed. It seems like a giant potential headache for creators intent on nurturing productive discourse.
