I imagine this is the same way people who get rich early in life (perhaps through luck feel). However, since this universe is only your own, I don’t believe morals need enter into the equation. The question is: how much do you feel you should take? If you enjoy the exploration and the progression, let that remain your happiness. Your kid’s comment “Does this mean we aren’t going into space anymore?” may be a pointer in the right direction.
