We have been mixing logic with user interface for a long time, they have just been isolated and hard to keep track off. The moment you start writing pure Javascript into HTML or add Jquery or Angular to your app you have just crammed so much into it. The problem for me with this is that it looks terrible, the action itself is not the issue, React is a better solution to handle these and in my personal experience is much more friendly for developers in general.

When it comes to Next I imagine being able to build server-rendered client-side application. To be able to build this from scratch and have it be performant is a huge ask for developers to do again and again. Sure, it needs some work, but there was a time when you could say the same thing about http calls on Node, anyone in the right mind would go straight for Express. Looking ahead and know the tendency the community has to elevate this platforms and refine them is reason to believe that it might just take time. During which I prefer to adopt it, add it to my tool-belt and have it be useful to me when the time comes.
