Why haven’t we had a national recommended reading list for decades? Individual kids need to find what they are interested in. Having to put up with teachers telling them what they should be interested in is annoying. Some people were talking about using science fiction for teaching science in 1959. Now we have this:


To an extent SF has lost its way since the 70s and many of today’s readers do not care about science, so old stuff may be better.
