The 2012 election data is visualized alongside and in comparison to 2016 results, highlights the blue counties that turned red in 2016. The darker red circles in 2016 are the counties that voted mostly blue in 2012. The big change in 2016 is the huge jump in the number of people who voted for third party candidates (in purple).
