Mary is a woman
She is beautiful. She wears long hair. Her make up is perfect. Not Earth-perfect but heaven-perfect. She is a natural beuty, it’s just some havenly blush and heavenly glitter. There is no Botox in heaven.
She is a mother. She is the one who takes care of everyone in the room. She brings the food, does the shopping, waters the plants. She is the giver of life. She invites everyone and gives sweets to all kids in the neighbourhood.
She is a friend. She will to talk to the one who seems forgotten, unfriendly and not fun. She will listen to the one who needs attention. She throws amazing parties and surprise birthday bashes. She is the one who is there for the good and for the icky. She knows when to take you for a walk and when to just bring some wine.
She is smart. Her advice will guide you through raising a child. She reads the Bible although she knows it by heart. Like, really, by heart. She loves to talk to her Son when He calls her. She asks Him: Why didn’t you call me?! Have you been dead? Then they laugh and laugh and laugh.
Sometimes, He surprises her and shows up. They sit by the kitchen table and talk all night.
She gives Him some pie and says: What do you think of this new recipe? It’s called Sweet Jesus.
It’s heaven, mom! - He answers.
