would be interesting to also see a regular VM with a standard service and how it compares with these additional services. I understand the concerns written here about portability, bugs and just many unknowns. Going “serverless” whether it’s google cloud funcions or cloud run almost always end up with a messier, harder to support code.

But it would still be interesting to see when financially it starts making sense to run separate services on VMs rather than FaaS (I suspect that it’s a lot sooner than people think :)).
