My name is Karolyn….for 12 years it was Smith or up until 2014 it was SGT.I got use to remebering everyone by their last name…even friends! After the attacks of 9/11, I enlisted at the tender age of 29, into the United States Army. It was an ironic 30th birthday as I was in the communial female showers and said “Oh my God, today is my birthday!” and all of a sudden, 15 naked, soaking wet women were hugging me….not exactly what I envisioned for my “Big 3–0”, but it was the start of a career that leads me to all of you..so this is my short intro….come back for the next page.
