To the man who never lets me settle,

Thank you. Thank you for loving me in a way no one ever has. You came into my life during a time where I was lost, struggling, and giving you less than my best. But you never saw that, you always saw what I COULD be, and what I am capable of achieving. During a time where anyone else would have run, you stayed. Thank you for pushing me, in every single way. Thank you for never letting me settle for less than my best. Thank you for ignoring every excuse, every reason why I would never be good enough, every reason why I was “always going to be this way”.

Thank you for loving me, as if I am ALREADY at my best. Thank you for treating me like gold, and showing me my worth. Thank you for pushing me towards Christ — and leaning on him first and you second.

I promise to you that I will always push myself. That I will always work towards the person I can be, and not settle for the person I am. I promise to never accept second best. I promise to see you the way you see me. I promise to love you at your worst and push you towards your best.
