About a month after announcing $MATIC’s availability in the Kasta app, here comes $USDC, a fiat-collateralized stablecoin, ready to be a part of global crypto adoption.
What is $USDC?
$USDC is an ERC-20 stable coin pegged to the US dollar. It was created in 2018 by Coinbase and Circle Internet Financial, and is known for its safety and regulatory compliance. The crypto market is highly volatile, so stable coins like $USDC were created to allow crypto users to trade or swap into a more stable coin, whether to keep their earnings or prevent losses, without having to leave the crypto market.
How Can You Use $USDC in the Kasta App?
You can use $USDC to send and receive payments and facilitate cross-border transactions in the Kasta app. You can also use it for deposits and withdrawals to and from an external wallet, or use it with our Easy Swap Engine.
Free P2P Payments in $USDC
Kasta app users can enjoy FREE and speedy P2P transactions when sending and receiving the same currency. This also applies to $USDC payments, which means you can send $USDC to another user and both of you won’t be charged any transaction fee if they also receive the payment in $USDC.
Automatically Receive Payments in $USDC
On the other hand, the Kasta app has a swap feature called the Easy Swap Engine that allows you to automatically receive payments in $USDC even if the sender used a different currency (e.g., $BTC to $USDC).
All you have to do is go to Settings, tick the Easy Swap button, and choose to always receive $USDC when receiving specific currencies. However, since you won’t receive the payment in the same currency, minimal transaction fees will apply.
