Thanks for the fascinating research. I do think it’s complicated surrounding areas where there are “low risk” vs perceived risk — I could count off the number of times I’ve had to dodge pedestrians to avoid an accident, or pedestrians have intentionally jumped out at me late at night. I would be interested to see what other people’s experience of near misses and unreported accidents in these situations are. I’m curious also what the perception of St Kilda Road as a whole is — taking into account fear of dooring multiple gaps in the bike lane, and unclear directions around Southbank.
