Pre-web Technology vs. Internet

With the new things coming about on the internet, it makes it much easier to do the things that we need done. It makes life more convenient. Before the internet, you had to listen to music on CD’s and even before that, record players. This is an inconvenience in many ways. First of all, you could not listen to any song you wanted in an instant because you were limited to what was on the CD or record. Along with that, the size of the CD players and record players made it very difficult if not impossible to travel with. So you were only able to listen to music where ever the player was set up. Today you have many different ways to listen to music, such as on your phone with itunes, where you pay for the songs that you want. This can become very expensive considering the fact that each song costs a little more than a dollar. There are cheaper options to listen to music on your phone with such as Pandora or Spotify. With these, there comes a monthly subscription or you can sign up for free. With the monthly subscription you have unlimited skips and you can listen to any song that you want, also without wifi or data. If you just make an account for free you need to be connected to the internet or data in some way in order to listen to any music at all. Not only that, but you only have a limited number of skips to use per hour and per day. Other than that, I see way more pros than cons in the advancement of the music technology.
