Let Go of What You Cannot Change
One things after another, eating away at you trying to break you down.
School. Work. Relationships. Fights. Disrespect. Mean people.
All things we feel we need to rise above and make them stop, to try and take charge to end it once and for all. But for what? Do we even have that power?
The answer is simple… No we do not.
You see the way this crazy world is set up, things happen all the time, every day. People are hurt, betrayed, loved and lost. Life happens all the time. When things keep happening we becomes weak, tired, and wishing it would stop. As humans we try to stop what is hurting us and take control but we cannot keep doing this to ourselves. We cannot control 99% of what happens to us no matter what we think.
I have come to this realization after i found out how awful I react when i try to change a situation. I get an attitude, I get angry, and even push others away to try and fix something. But by trying to fix it, I make it worse. Create tension, more fights, more conflict. I became the problem I was trying to fix, I added to my own worry.
If something is bothering you, take a deep breath. Take a step back. Realize that everything as it is right now in this moment is as it is supposed to be and it WILL be OKAY! Everything will be okay in the end, I promise you. You are faced with trouble to shape you as a person, to shake off the loose ends that are no longer serving a purpose. It may seem shaky right now, but wait and see where you are two days, weeks, years from now. Perfectly content, everything has taken its course and ended up even better than before.
You see conflict and stress is not always fun, but it is not always a bad thing either. Conflict can change the way you see things, the way you interact, the way you act and think. God has this wonderful plan for you, and he knows what he is doing up there. Every thing is as it should be, in this moment in time. Live for now, live for this present moment.
Don’t stress over what could happen tomorrow or next week, or what you can do to help fix it, because the truth is, you cannot stop the predetermined. You burn yourself out trying to focus on fixing what you see as broken, you forget how to live for now, enjoy life and love what you are doing. RIGHT NOW. Breathe, go for a walk, talk to your friends, call your mom, kiss your boyfriend, become blissfully lost in the woods. Do whatever your soul hungers for, what your body craves, and let go of the stress.
Let life take its course, and I promise you, it will be okay. Everything eventually work itself out. All the kinks come undone, and all the problems you see now disappear. Micromanaging everything will drive you crazy, try to let go. Try to love what is happening now and understand it may not make sense to you right now but it will later, and when it does, you will feel so relieved and happy that you didn’t butt in and try to fix what was already on its way to perfect.
So do me a favor, let go. Unclench the grip you have on your stress, fights, arguments, mean people, and let them go. Let what is going to happen, happen.
Life is as it is supposed to be. Surrender your hardships to the Lord, and open your heart to a brand new journey. If you lose something along the way, it was meant to be. Live for now, and experience life. Getting caught up in the bad makes little room for the good. Life should be savored, and enjoyed. Let it all go, and let the love for life fulfill your soul to its core. Surrender. Peace. Bliss.
With love and prayers,
Katie
