Today I made some progress on a problem I’ve been struggling with for a while. However, it felt a little like every step forward I made, I went three steps back. Every time I corrected one bit of code another bug seemed to crop up.

Sometimes I think it’s important to keep pushing on and hope you’ll have a breakthrough but it’s also important to step back and have a break. That way, next time you take a look at the problem, you’ll have a fresher perspective.

Hopefully this will help me with de-bugging my program. If not, an alternative might be getting rid of some code and starting again. This is daunting but could be a great way of solving the problem with better code.
